Welcome to Rustic Elements. Here you will find wooden spoons, end grain and face grain cutting boards and other kitchen items. Jewelry made from mastodon ivory, mussel shell, gold and various stones. Metal sculpture from copper, steel and brass. Stone sculpture from dolomite, marble, granite, alabaster, lime stone and soapstone. Wood furniture. Wooden canoe paddles. Wooden buttons and my own formulations of food safe spoon, bowl and board oils and waxes.

All items are hand made and one-of-a-kind. No two are exactly alike. You will find this obvious in things like the stone sculpture, but you will also find even the wooden spoons are all different. That's what happens when things are hand made. I don't use templates or patterns. Even the furniture has variations from the plan in each instance.
The vast majority of the material I use for my art is found, recycled or scrap. Most of the furniture obviously must be made from whole pieces, but even here I use left over or recycled wood where possible. All of the items made to be in contact with food, like spoons, bowls, etc., are not only finished with food safe finishes, but the waxes and oils that I mix are from organic sources. Usually USDA certified organic where possible.
